FREE INDEED

Upon arrival at the site, I noticed a dove tied down by one of my employees. When I requested its release, he stated his intention to sell it. After asking for the price, he informed me, and I asked him to release the bird, which he did, and then I paid for it.

The Scripture says “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Romans 5:6. By paying the price with his precious blood, Jesus Christ made it possible for us to be set free and welcome into God's family. Ephesians 1:5 “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.”

Our new status as His slaves necessitates us to do His pleasure and avoid taking things for granted. Romans 6:22 say “But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life”.

We are free from condemnation now that we are in Him.  Romans 8:34 says “Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us”.

Come to Christ today, because there is no other place where you can find freedom except in Him. If Christ sets you free, you are truly free. (John 8:36)

  1. This is such a beautiful and thought-provoking analogy of the Gospel! The story of the dove being bought and set free is a powerful illustration of how Christ sets us free from sin and death. What a gift it is to be a child of God and a member of His family! May we all live in gratitude and joy for this amazing grace that we have been given. Thank you for sharing this beautiful message with us all. May it inspire us to keep our eyes on Christ and live in freedom from the chains of sin.
