JESUS OUR ADVOCATE

"But if an angel from heaven appears— a special messenger to intercede for a person and declare that he is upright— he will be gracious and say, 'Rescue him from the grave, for I have found a ransom for his life.' Then his body will become as healthy as a child's, firm and youthful again. When he prays to God, he will be accepted. And God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing. He will declare to his friends, 'I sinned and twisted the truth, but it was not worth it. God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.' (Job 33:23-28 NLT).

This was Job speaking, most of us have read or heard about his story, he was wishing for an advocate to help him present his case before the LORD, but unlike Job we have someone as our advocate before GOD, for the Scripture says “My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is JESUS CHRIST, the one who is truly righteous” (1 John 2:1). He became sacrifice to atone for our sin and sin of the world and we can be sure we know HIM if we keep HIS commandments.
GOD is ready to rebuke satan and cancel his accusation concerning all that belong to HIM i.e those that have already accept CHRIST as there savior. “Then the angel showed me Jeshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord. The Accuser, Satan, was there at the angel's right hand, making accusations against Jeshua. And the Lord said to Satan, "I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you.” (Zechariah 3:1-2 NLT).
Is devil tormenting and blackmailing you for the sins of your past? Let him know that you have an advocate in CHRIST JESUS, that old things had passed away and now you are new creature (2Corinthians 5:17).

Remember, JESUS can’t be your advocate unless you belong to HIM. Accept HIM as your LORD and SAVIOUR today, so you too can confidently say “Even now my witness is in heaven. My advocate is there on high.(Job 16:9 NLT)

FREE INDEED

 Upon arrival at the site, I noticed a dove tied down by one of my employees. When I requested its release, he stated his intention to sell it. After asking for the price, he informed me, and I asked him to release the bird, which he did, and then I paid for it.  The Scripture says “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Romans 5:6. By paying the price with his precious blood, Jesus Christ made it possible for us to be set free and welcome into God's family. Ephesians 1:5 “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.”  Our new status as His slaves necessitates us to do His pleasure and avoid taking things for granted. Romans 6:22 say “But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life”.  We are free from condemnation

YOU STILL HAVE ACT IT OUT (THE MARVELOUS JOURNEY)

After viewing the documentary on Giannis Sina Ugo Adetokumpo titled ‘ The Marvelous Journey ’ from Prime Video. I was reflecting on how he grew up in a slum in Greece and achieved success as a basketball player for  Milwaukee Bucks  in NBA and his country. I inquired with God, 'Have you composed all of that?', The answer was, "Yes, but you still have to execute it." I recalled the vigorous practice, workout, discipline, and deep love for God and his family. Having a script written for you by the producer is not enough; you must show up and perform your role. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (Ecclesiastes 9 : 10). It's possible for you to be chosen to bring your family out of poverty, just like Giannis, or do some great things, but if you don't rise to the occasion. Someone else will be chosen by God.
