FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN (3) ‘’THE ALMIGHTY GOD”

 “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. Isaiah 9:6

We are still discussing the greatest gift ever given to the human race. Earlier, we discussed 'And the government shall rest upon His shoulder', then 'Wonderful Counselor'. Now we are talking about 'The Almighty God'. 

Being completely powerful and omnipotent is what the term 'Almighty' means. In Hebrew, it's El-Shaddai. God first referred to Himself as almighty in Genesis 17:1 when He was talking to Abraham, ‘And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect’. 

Jesus has complete power over everything, even when He was on earth as a human. For example, He calmed the storm in Matthew 8:23-27 and cursed the fig tree, which died on the same day (Mark 11:12-25). A man who was born blind received eyes from Him (John 9:1-12). He brought back to life those who had died (John 11:38-44, Luke 7:11-17).  The Demon obeyed Him (Luke 8:26-39). He healed all manner of sickness and diseases, including a woman with a blood issue (Mark 5:25-34), the man at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15), woman crippled by an evil spirit (Luke 13:16-24). He served over five thousand people with two fish and five loaves of bread and still has twelve baskets of leftovers. I'm wondering where that came from (Matthew 14:13-21). He paid Peter's debt with a coin from the fish's mouth (Matthew 17:24-27). He is Almighty God, there is no one that can be compared to Him “ Isaiah 40:25 “To whom will you compare me? 

    Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One’. and there is nothing that is impossible for Him (Luke 1:7). Jesus is one with God the Father as He made us aware in John 10:30 “I and My Father are one.” so they share the same attributes. He was sent to the world just for us. He is Almighty, El-Shaddai. There is nothing that He can't handle. Just accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.

THE HIJACKED LIFE

  The 9/11 attack, where two planes were hijacked and flown into the North and South Towers of The World Trade Center in New York City, resulting in both towers collapsing, remains one of the unforgettable occurrences in the world.   The attack was not planned by the original pilot of the plane, but it happened because some terrorist hijacked the plane from them. The Scripture mentions a demon-possessed man who lived in a tomb in Gadarenes. Despite being naked and unable to be held by a chain or shackles, it was discovered that an army of unclean spirits was inhabiting him. They are the ones controlling his life. YOU STILL HAVE ACT IT OUT (THE MARVELOUS JOURNEY)

After viewing the documentary on Giannis Sina Ugo Adetokumpo titled ‘ The Marvelous Journey ’ from Prime Video. I was reflecting on how he grew up in a slum in Greece and achieved success as a basketball player for  Milwaukee Bucks  in NBA and his country. I inquired with God, 'Have you composed all of that?', The answer was, "Yes, but you still have to execute it." I recalled the vigorous practice, workout, discipline, and deep love for God and his family. Having a script written for you by the producer is not enough; you must show up and perform your role. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (Ecclesiastes 9 : 10). It's possible for you to be chosen to bring your family out of poverty, just like Giannis, or do some great things, but if you don't rise to the occasion. Someone else will be chosen by God.
