ARE YOU WILLING TO LOOSE IT?

 ‘Then the Lord said to Elijah,  “Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. I have instructed a widow there to feed you.”So he went to Zarephath. As he arrived at the gates of the village, he saw a widow gathering sticks, and he asked her, “Would you please bring me a little water in a cup?” As she was going to get it, he called to her, “Bring me a bite of bread, too.”But she said, “I swear by the Lord your God that I don’t have a single piece of bread in the house. And I have only a handful of flour left in the jar and a little cooking oil in the bottom of the jug. I was just gathering a few sticks to cook this last meal, and then my son and I will die.”But Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and do just what you’ve said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!” So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah’. 1 Kings 17:8-16

Although the widow had the option to hold onto the small and miserable meal, eat it, and succumb to hunger like many others, she chose to sow it so that she and her son would never go without food during the famine.

The Lord provides bread for the hungry and seed for the sowers (2 Corinthians 9:10). What you carry may not be bread, but instead a seed that you can sow for a future harvest. The scripture says cast your bread upon many waters (Ecclesiastes 11:1).

Many people are struggling today because they have eaten their supposed seeds. Numerous individuals have spent the money they were meant to invest for future benefits. To reap a harvest both physically and spiritually, you must be disciplined enough to let go for now so as to reap the rewards in the future.

  The 9/11 attack, where two planes were hijacked and flown into the North and South Towers of The World Trade Center in New York City, resulting in both towers collapsing, remains one of the unforgettable occurrences in the world.   The attack was not planned by the original pilot of the plane, but it happened because some terrorist hijacked the plane from them. The Scripture mentions a demon-possessed man who lived in a tomb in Gadarenes.  I was reading about the victims of the event where all 67 people aboard an American Eagle flight from Kansas and an Army helicopter were killed in a collision over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday, January 29. Among those are children with great futures, wonderful families, one just engaged to be married, and one just promoted in their job.
