WHERE ARE YOUR TREASURES? (January 2025 Southern California wildfires)

An ongoing series of catastrophic wildfires has been affecting the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding regions since Tuesday, January 7, 2025. The fires were exacerbated by the presence of low humidity, dry conditions, and Santa Ana winds that reached 100 miles per hour (160 km/h; 45 m/s) in some locations. As of January 12, the wildfires have caused at least 16 deaths, compelled over 180,000 to leave, and destroyed or damaged more than 12,401 structures. The Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire are the two fires that have caused the most damage.

Imagine the loss that some analysts predicted would amount to over $20 billion. Imagine the gorgeous structures, impressive automobiles, and other properties that were destroyed. 

The Scripture talks about the security of putting your treasures in heaven, where they are protected from any harm. ‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also’. Matthew 6:19-21. If your only concern is earthly possessions, then what happens when they are destroyed or you lose your soul in the process (May the souls of those who died in the inferno rest in peace), where will you spend your eternity? I am not of the opinion that you should not live well here on earth, especially when you can afford it, because the Bible says 'So go ahead.' Eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, for God approves of this! Wear fine clothes, with a splash of cologne! ’ Eccelesiates 9:7-8. But you must not live your life without being conscious of heaven, for you must not gain the world and lose your soul (Mark 8:36-38). Life does not end here on earth. Eternity is waiting for us, and our investment in heaven will determine where we will spend it, maybe in hell or paradise.

If you're not yet acquainted with Christ Jesus, come to Him today, accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, open your investment account with Him, and be assured that it's secure, and you'll have guaranteed eternal bliss with Him in paradise. John 3:16

THE HIJACKED LIFE

  The 9/11 attack, where two planes were hijacked and flown into the North and South Towers of The World Trade Center in New York City, resulting in both towers collapsing, remains one of the unforgettable occurrences in the world.   The attack was not planned by the original pilot of the plane, but it happened because some terrorist hijacked the plane from them. The Scripture mentions a demon-possessed man who lived in a tomb in Gadarenes. Despite being naked and unable to be held by a chain or shackles, it was discovered that an army of unclean spirits was inhabiting him. They are the ones controlling his life. YOU STILL HAVE ACT IT OUT (THE MARVELOUS JOURNEY)

After viewing the documentary on Giannis Sina Ugo Adetokumpo titled ‘ The Marvelous Journey ’ from Prime Video. I was reflecting on how he grew up in a slum in Greece and achieved success as a basketball player for  Milwaukee Bucks  in NBA and his country. I inquired with God, 'Have you composed all of that?', The answer was, "Yes, but you still have to execute it." I recalled the vigorous practice, workout, discipline, and deep love for God and his family. Having a script written for you by the producer is not enough; you must show up and perform your role. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (Ecclesiastes 9 : 10).
