PAPAOUTAI
Papaoutai (French for "Dad, where are you") is a hit song by Stromae, who grew up without his father who was killed in the Rwandan genocide in 1994. Without a father figure to guide him, he had to assume the role of father by himself.
At some point or another, many of us have asked this question, possibly referring to our earthly father or the Father in heaven, who is God Almighty. The scripture tells us about Gideon in Judges 6:12-13 ‘The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!” “Sir,” Gideon replied, “if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say, ‘The Lord brought us up out of Egypt’? But now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.”. Like Gideon, we may sometimes doubt the existence of God or His mighty power, particularly if we are in a struggle to perform what we believe He is meant to do or if we call on Him and are not answered. But the Scripture makes us understand in Isaiah 59:1-2 that the Lord's arm is not too weak to save us, nor is his ear too deaf to hear our call, but it's our sins that have cut us off from God. Our sins have caused him to turn away and stop listening. God is too holy to behold sins. Today, let's go back to Him and ask for His forgiveness. He is a loving and merciful Father; He sent His only Son in the person of Jesus Christ to die for our sins, before we even committed them. Our sins will be removed as far away from us as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Then, this verse of the Scripture will be your portion; “I will answer them before they even call to me.While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!’ (Isaiah 65:24). It's important to remember that calling or asking for God is only possible if you have Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The reason why Jesus was sent to this world (John 3:16) is this.

Our greatest consolation is that God loves us, and His mercies toward us are new every morning.
