STAY IN GOD’S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE

“Simon Peter said, “ I’m going fishing.”“ We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night. At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was.He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?”“No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it.” John 21:3-6

Were they supposed to engage in fishing? When Jesus told them that they would be fishers of men (Matthew 4:19). Jesus asked Peter three times if he truly loves Him and instructed him to care for His sheep. Peter experienced discomfort due to the number of times the question was asked. (John 21:15-17)

Many of us have abandoned God's calling for our lives and have chosen a different path. It's possible that we lose hope in it due to certain obstacles or because we think it's not trendy or common, but remember that God has a purpose for calling us to whatever He calls us to, as no one is born to populate the earth. When Jesus was about to fulfill his purpose for coming to the world, it wasn't easy. However, Jesus prayed for God's will to be done, and the scripture records that an angel was sent to strengthen him (Luke 22:43). Remember that His will is the source of your strength and provision (Philippians 4:19).

Don't follow Jonah's example of trying to run away (Jonah 1:1-17)

After the cross, there is a crown.
