Pashtunwali
In the film “Lone Survivor” an Afghan helped an America soldier against all odd, the soldier can’t imagine this and went on asking why, but the Afghan protects him by his own life standing up to the Taliban and opposed them when they arrived for the soldier. But why did it come about?
There is a code called “Pashtunwali” in Afghanistan, which wants a clan to carry the duty of safeguarding an individual against his foes and protect him at all costs.
As a Christian and son of GOD, HE gave us command through HIS words so we can be exceptional and be like HIM in all we do, but how many of us are ready to do or follow this will and commands in the presence of opposition and trial, most of us quickly deny HIM and HIS words when the position or condition seem unbearable or conducive for us.
Recall the three Hebrews in Daniel 3, even in the face of blazing furnace they obeyed the commands of the LORD, which forestall them to worship or bow down to other gods “Exodus 20:3” and GOD came to their deliverance, they were elevated and the name of the LORD was glorified.
