EVERYTHING WORKS TOGETHER FOR GOOD

Image
When Joseph's brothers were selling him to a merchant to kill his dream, the merchant sold him to Potiphar, who then put him in jail for committing no sin and the dreams of the baker and the butler were all about bringing God's purpose to life. Joseph addressing his brothers after their father’s death 'Then his brothers came and threw themselves down before Joseph. “Look, we are your slaves!” they said. But Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you? You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people’. Genesis 50:18-20. The Scriptures do not mention that Joseph held Potiphar and his wife accountable after he became prime minister of Egypt. God has good plans for everyone, and this He let us know in Jeremiah 29:11 . He is God. He always ensures the fulfillment of His word by monitoring it ( Jeremiah 1:12 ). Are the people against the destiny God has given you? Fight...

THE BENEFITS OF THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

Image
God Almighty sent Jesus to come to earth and die for the sins of all men. This shows how much God loves us as His creation, and also how Jesus Christ was obedient to the Father even unto death, even though He is God in human form ( Philippians 2:8 ). The death of Him has brought us benefits: But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”  Galatians 3:13 (NLT). Generational, traditional, spiritual, physical, and curses, whether known or unknown, have been removed from us and we now inherit blessings. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed" Isaiah 53:5. No sickness can have power over us as we have been made whole. "And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s M...

GOD WILLDO ANYTHING FOR YOU

Image
'Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?'  Romans 8:31. We tend to assume that God won't do certain things for us, but I would like you to know that He will do anything for us because of His love for us. He was despised and rejected. A man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief, He carried our weakness and was weighed down by our sorrows ( Isaiah 53:3-4 ). If Christ endured all of that for us, wouldn't He do anything for us? 'For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ’ 2 Corinthians 5:21. Jesus said in John 14:13-14 'And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it’. All you have to do is ask in faith and to the glory of God. Jesus came to die for everyone, including you. Accept Him today and never let His death on the cr...

DON’T WRITE YOURSELF OFF (GEORGE FOREMAN 1949-2025)

Image
After 10 years away from the ring, Foreman made headlines in 1987 when he announced his comeback at the age of 38. He wrote in his autobiography that his main objective was to raise funds to finance the youth center he had established, which required much of the money he had earned in the beginning of his career. Despite the assumption that his return to the ring was a mistake, Foreman asserted that he returned to demonstrate that age is not an obstacle to achieving one's goals (as he later stated, age 40 is not a 'death sentence'). Foreman earned the chance to face the undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield for the world title in a pay-per-view boxing event after a series of victories. Few boxing experts believed that the 42-year-old Foreman had a chance of winning. Foreman surprised many by staying the full 12 rounds, but lost his challenge on points with scores of 116–111, 115–112, and 117–110. In 1994, Foreman again sought to challenge for the world champions...

SEEING IT FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE

Image
'From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead. But Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things. “Heaven forbid, Lord,” he said. “This will never happen to you!” Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”  Matthew   16:21-23.  Are you blaming Peter? There are many of us who have done the same thing and will do it again. Imagine the Almighty Jesus who fed them when they were hungry ( Matthew 14:13-21 ), the one who paid Peter's tax when he was broke ( Matthew 27:24-27 ), and healed his mother-in-law ( Matthew   8:14-15 ). What is your expectation of Peter's ...

IS GOD A GOOD BUSINESS MAN?

Image
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?  And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:4-7. Whenever I read this story, I just wonder: would I leave ninety-nine in the desert and go after just one, risking the life of ninety-nine? Normally, there is no sense in it. But we are talking about God who sent His only Son to die for the sin of the world. The scriptures say in 1 John 4:9-10 ‘In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In thi...

YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS

Image
When God was creating the world, when it came to man's turn, He created man in His image and likeness. The scriptures say, 'Then God said, ' Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us'. Genesis 1:26. He has made it possible for him to have power and authority over everything. Take notice in the passage that God didn't only create man in His image but also in His likeness, meaning that He gave him the capacity to act and behave just like Himself. God's support is what makes it possible for us to achieve and be whatever we want to be. We can all see all the creations and inventions of man today, and this is possible because God has given us the ability to create. LeBron James, the recognized basketball player from Little Akron, Ohio in the United States, became the first player in NBA history to score 50,000 combined points, a feat that basketball experts never thought was possible.   The scriptures say that we can do all things through Christ who stre...
